Which material to use according to the elliptical stress?
The following table shows the maximum operating rpm, calculated from the shaft diameter and peripheral speed of the oil seals. The graph highlights the compounds most suitable for the mechanical stress resulting from the elliptical stress.
Depending on the rotational performance expressed in rpm, different elastomer compounds are recommended:
0 / 1200 rpm = NBR
1200 / 2200 rpm = ACM
2200 / 3700 rpm = VMQ / FPM
