Foundation
In 1970, during Europe’s post-war re-industrialisation phase, Pio Larosi founded the company ‘Larosi’, which was later registered (following the new European VAT regulations) on 21 January 1973 in Padua, the industrial heart of North East Italy, specialising in mechanical components Padua.
This region is renowned for its strong SME network, which has created a collaborative and innovative environment. The presence of specialised industrial districts, such as those of mechanics and plastics, has provided Larosi with opportunities for collaboration, development of specific skills and access to a highly qualified workforce. In addition, the proximity to important communication routes further facilitated logistics and market expansion.
The company soon turned to the wholesale distribution of industrial products for subcontracting to the specialised industry, offering a wide range of items including vibration dampers, air springs, couplings, O-rings, oil seals, and semi-finished technoplastic products immediately available from stock.

Innovation and International Expansion
The 1970s was a period of great innovation. Larosi benefited from technological advances, improving production efficiency. New materials revolutionised product quality. During the 1980s and 1990s, Larosi established itself as a reliable name. The pursuit of product quality and durability consolidated Larosi’s reputation.
Also in the second half of the 1990s, with the opening of Eastern European markets, Larosi began to internationalise. This enabled it to acquire new customers and markets, expanding its international presence.
In the following years, Larosi has considerably expanded its offer. From just a few thousand, the company now offers over 1,000,000 stock items, covering various industries with shipments in just 24 hours.
