Conical antivibration foot mounts (F) FC are specialised devices designed to reduce vibrations and mechanical oscillations in machinery and equipment of various types. Their main purpose is to protect equipment from wear and tear caused by vibration and to prevent the transmission of vibrations to other elements of the structure or the surrounding environment.
The ‘FС’ design consists of a high-quality rubber base, usually natural rubber (NR) or a NR/SBR blend, combined with a metal element, usually with an internal thread, which facilitates assembly. This design effectively absorbs and dissipates vibration energy, ensuring the operational stability of the mechanisms.
The advantages of ‘FС’ dampers lie in their versatility, durability and high efficiency. Thanks to their parabolic shape and optimal rubber hardness (typically 55-60 Shore A), they offer excellent damping even under significant loads. The dampers are corrosion-resistant thanks to galvanised metal elements, which extends their service life.
Furthermore, they can be customised for specific needs: manufacturers offer different thread sizes, hardness grades and types of rubber compounds. This makes them suitable for a wide range of applications, from household appliances to heavy industrial equipment.
FС’ vibration dampers find application in many sectors. They are used as support elements, buffers or motion limiters in agricultural machinery, electric motors, compressors, air conditioning systems and generators. Due to their ability to limit both vertical and horizontal movement, they are effective as buffers or stops in mechanisms subject to high dynamic loads. In the food, pharmaceutical and medical industries, FDA-compliant silicone rubber versions are used to ensure hygiene and resistance to high temperatures (-30°C to +200°C).
The use of these dampers not only prolongs the life of equipment, but also improves operating comfort. Reducing vibrations lowers noise levels, which is particularly important in residential or working environments. They also help prevent damage caused by fatigue stress, reducing maintenance and repair costs.
